Ball Moss Removal

Ball Moss is round with gray or green vines intertwined and can range in size from 3′ to 12′ diameter. They are normally found clinging to trees, especially oaks and they will bloom with small blue to purple flowers during the spring.

Ball moss can be controlled using three methods: picking, pruning, or spraying. As is most often the case, effective treatment usually requires the combination of all three methods.

Most homeowners don’t have the proper equipment to safely prune large trees, and if even if they do, standing on a ladder while using this equipment is dangerous. A professional arborist can diagnose the infestation, determine the best method sequence to follow, and safely remove the moss.
